We got Kristen her first fun toy. It's a musical mobile! This one is really cute, it has 5 exotic animals coming with it. There's a lion, an elephant, a crocodile, a hippo and a giraffe. She's going to be so overjoyed playing with this. The mobile plays a classic lullaby of Brahms.

We received a gift for Kristen

Thank you Peng (a colleagure of Amy's in the States) for your thoughtful and lovely gift! Here's a picture of Amy with the cute little outfit you sent us. Many thanks!

We'll probably post another picture of Kristen when she's old enough to wear it. I'm sure she'll look great in it.

Fellowship full house

Our place is packed with people last night for our regular bi-weekly fellowship gathering. We welcomed little-Ken back from his 4 months trip to Taiwan, and we were also joined by Sandy, a friend of Grace. We had lots of fun!

Baby Crib!

Let me present you the baby crib! I finally got time to clear out the corner of our master bedroom and set up the crib.

It's actually quite easy to set up. However I discovered that some nuts are missing and as a result I cannot securely put in the matress board. I made a phone call to Storkcraft and right away they promised to send me another pair of head/foot boards by UPS in about 2-3 weeks. That's great! I'll strongly recommend this brand.

Yet another visit to Niagara Falls

This time around, we stayed at Hilton Fallsview Hotel. As usual, we got a room with a huge King size bed and jacuzzi. Hilton is good for its relatively larger sized swimming pool, a top floor restaurant, and a direct access bridge to the Fallsview Casino. I somehow like the Sheraton Fallsview Hotel better though. We stayed there last Christmas and the view is terrific (directly looking at the Canadian Falls).

Desparate HouseParent

We just went to buy the baby crib today. It's a Storkcraft convertible crib. I called it an act of desparation because you can't believe what happened. The weather was kind of bad -- It's about 4 degree out there and it's raining cats and dogs.

The store employee helped me fit the crib together with the mattress into the back seat. Although we tried really hard, we just could not close the door (We have a Toyota Camry). He ended up cutting off some of the foam off the crib box and we luckily were able to close the door. Then we crawled into the front seats and almost had no room to move around.

The next big task is to clean up my house to clear out some space to put the crib. It's kind of a huge thing. It's one of these convertible crib which can be turned into a bed for the child until he outgrows it (like year 5/6). Somehow baby furniture is all convertible these days!
