Baby rocker assembled!

I've finished setting up the baby rocker. Here's how the assembled rocker look like.

Great, from now on whenever Kristen is not settled, we'll just drop her into the rocker and regain our senses.

Yummy!

Thank you Mindy for cooking Amy some Taiwanese postnatal delicacy -- 麻油雞 (sesame chicken). Here's the recipe if you're interested.

It tastes really good!

Huge group visit from church!

Taken with Pastor Enoch and Lydia Koh.

Taken with Gwang-Jian, Mindy, Sharon, and Ye-Dan.

Group picture, smile!

Look at all the generous gifts they brought: some cool baby outfits, a baby card, and a rocker chair. Many thanks!

Gifts we got a while back

We sort of lost track of some gifts we received a while back. My apologies.

These lovely baby outfits are from Pastor Solomon and Julie Chiang, all the way from New Jersey.

This Time Capsule Journal is from Ya-Nan and Joanne.

And we got the most practical gift of all -- Pampers from the church/decan board.

Gift from Mickey

Mickey gave us a journal book and a card. Thanks!

Aunty Cindy paid a visit

"Good morning, Kristen! " says Aunty Cindy,
who dropped by to say hi before going to church.

Sleeping beauties?!

Shhhhhhhh! Don't make any noise. We don't want to wake them up, do we?

Picture with little aunt

Little Aunt (Kate) came to play with Kristen tonight.
As a bonus, she got to taste some exquisite cooking by (Not Iron, Nickle?) Chef William.

Finally -- pictures with Daddy

Happy daddy, happy kid.

This is the famous "dun dun kiss" technique.

So far Kristen is not too interactive. In a few months this will be a lot more fun!

cards!

Look at our collection of baby cards! They're all pink!

More pictures of Kristen, 16 days old

French fashion

We just received a parcel from Paris -- the top city for fashion. Right on! Turns out we got some really trendy shirts from Miranda along with $50 Cdn and a baby card. Thanks!

Kristen is going to be one fashionable kid!

Grown?

Kristen is almost 2-weeks old. Somehow I think she might have already grown bigger. Her face looks a bit different from before. No wonder they say babies look different everyday.

Money, money, money...!

Another huge "pink" packet!
This time it's from uncle Bryan. Thanks!

That should help take care of some of the diaper costs.

A lot of gifts!

Thank you everybody for your generous gifts! Looks like we no longer has to buy Kristen anything else!

Eugene/Tracy's family gave Kristen a lovely set of baby clothing. The theme of the clothing set is a pinkish beatle! That's excellent! Our Kristen can grow up loving insects! She won't be scared of bugs when we go camping!

Next gift is a cute pinkish dress from "aunty" Amanda, who promised to spoil our Kristen in the years to come!

This gift is from Wen Lung and Yau Hui. Looks familiar?! It's a cute pinkish dress with a matching hat! Fortunately there's such things known as gift receipts!

Next up is a fun playing mat from the fellowship gang : Bill/Grace/Tim/Benjo/Cindy.
Thanks! It's really lovely. Now Kristen can play on a fun an clean mat instead of our dirty carpet!

Last but not least, we got a gift from Amy's long time high-school friend Ying-Ying in Taiwan. How thoughtful, it's a waist-slimming garment! I'm sure Amy will get back in shape in no time!

more visitors!

More visitors! Robert's family came to check out our cute "little star".

The first picture is taken with Robert and Kate.

In the second picture we see Robert's mum and dad. Wow, baby Kristen is getting a huge
red packet! Thank you! We may need to open a bank account for her soon!

Visitors from fellowship!

Some uncles and aunties from fellowship came visit Kristen today. As always, she behaves well when there are visitors.

As seen in the first pictures, the uncles and aunties are: Tim, Benjo, Helen, Grace, and Bill.

--- you try to appear big!

Flowers from Altera T.T.C.

Kristen got her first bunch of flowers!
Thank you everybody at Altera Toronto! (William's work place)

I'm sure she'll get a lot of flowers in another 20 years.

back at home!

We are released from the hospital Thursday morning. Home sweet home! We can finally get some rest (at least for a few hours). We are anticipating much tougher times ahead of us (sleepless hours of baby feeding + diaper changing)

Here we see a happy baby and a happy mummy.

William's family comes to hospital for a visit. Say cheers, grandpa, grandma, and aunty Maria!

One happy family!

We finally get to meet our baby girl for real. All the pain and sleeplessness are all worthy for the cause.

Shy baby

Dear friends,

It's now 5 days past the due date and there's still no signs of the baby yet!
Maybe our little baby girl is a bit shy. Hopefully she'll decide to come out some time next week.

I am officially off work for the next 3 weeks. So if the baby's still not coming yet, I'll be
learning how to cook Chinese Postnatal Nutritious Soup. I've come across some good recipe here.
